Our Starting Roots

Talent Tech Labs was founded in 2014 with a clear mission: to simplify and clarify the talent technology space. Initially, we started as an incubator, providing early-stage talent acquisition tech companies with the guidance and support they needed to thrive. Talent Tech Labs later transitioned from an incubator into a dynamic innovation lab, broadening our services to support both early and later-stage companies.

Expanding Our Focus

In 2018, Talent Tech Labs transitioned to a research and advisory business model, enabling us to deliver insights and guidance at scale.. While our journey began with an exclusive focus on Talent Acquisition, we broadened our scope to include the rapidly growing field of Talent Management, providing a holistic view of the talent continuum and addressing the needs of organizations across the entire talent lifecycle. Today, Talent Tech Labs provides comprehensive analysis and guidance across the entire talent lifecycle, helping enterprises, staffing companies, and solution providers navigate the complexities of the talent technology landscape.

Early Impact: The Introduction of the Talent Ecosystem

One of our first—and still most influential—contributions to the talent community is the Talent Technology Ecosystem. This flagship resource has become indispensable for talent and HR leaders, providing clarity and structure to the complex and ever-changing talent technology landscape. First introduced in 2015, this widely recognized resource has become an industry standard, helping organizations categorize and navigate the evolving marketplace.  Over the past decade, the Talent Acquisition Ecosystem has undergone twelve iterations, reflecting both the rapid pace of innovation in the industry and our commitment to staying at the forefront of change. Similarly, the Talent Management Ecosystem, now on its second version, continues to guide leaders in this expanded function. We are incredibly excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings and look forward to driving even greater innovation and delivering transformative solutions together with our clients and partners.
